How do climate, soil, slope, and other aspects of the regions in which wine grapes are grown impact the way wines taste? Do wines from a certain region pair better with foods cultivated in the same region? These are questions often asked by curious wine lovers. Our passion for film production and wine led us to the possibility of creating a documentary series on varietals. The following (as yet unfinished) segment shows the bones of this concept, featuring interviews with local experts on California’s signature grape, the Zinfandel.
